Polka Dot Rose Parade
Roses can be playful too. Polka Dot Rose Parade is a hand-tied bouquet of roses with a spirited, celebratory air, more festival than formal dinner. It is a great way to congratulate a young person in Lithuania on finishing school or university, when relatives traditionally arrive with flowers. A florist near the recipient prepares the roses and delivers them in person in Alytus, Marijampolė and other towns. Graduates are seldom at home on the day itself, so anyone ordering from abroad might choose the following morning or send the bouquet to the parents' address.
